Ominous Skies and Rain!13 viewsJune and early July is known as the monsoon season in Zion. Atmospheric conditions mean that the sky can grow dark and heavy rains can fall towards the end of the day. This can result in flash floods. I was up the Zion narrows at the time which typically does flood. I got out of there as fast as I could which involved making my way quickly through a river strewn in bolders for a mile or so.
